It is no secret that I love teleseminars. I go to several each week whether I’m in guest mode, host mode, or even just a listener, I love to be there. Why? Well, I have figured out that the investment I make with my money and time is worth it because I can turn myself a profit every time. Here are some of the techniques that I use:

1. Before I sign up for any teleseminar I make sure that I carefully read the announcement or sales letter first. If the speaker or the topic of the seminar is not of interest to me, there is no point in wasting my time. Therefore, I make sure that I read it very carefully, so I know what I am expecting when I arrive.

2. Teleseminars are generally free of charge and complimentary by the host. It is ok to take advantage of them. Sure, you will have to deal with the sales pitch at the end of the seminar but that is far worth the content and insight you will receive in turn. Think about it, a five minute commercial and fifty-five minutes of helpful insight, you won’t find that on any television.

3. If they ask for questions before the teleseminar, send in a question. No matter how hard you have to think, come up with a good question. Many times the host is looking for good questions to get the discussion started, especially at the start of a call, so your question is more likely to be used on the air if you get it in early.

Of course, this benefits me simply because in conjunction with the question, they will also say my name. Woohoo, free publicity. Everyone on the call just heard my name and then any person who downloads and listens later will also hear my name. This might actually be years of people hearing my name, great publicity.

Now this means a great deal to you because if you attend a lot of teleseminars and get your questions, with your name mentioned in many of them, all of the sudden you are starting to get recognized. Then you are also now becoming an expert in that field as well, since you are now being associated with the other experts within the seminar.

4. Whether or not they ask for it, send a testimonial immediately after the teleseminar. Don’t wait till the next day. The seminar host is flying high and posting the followup page right after the seminar ends. So when your timely testimonial arrives, he/she is likely to add it to the site. You will be amazed at how many people say “I saw your testimonial on so-and-so’s site.”

You want to make sure that the testimonial is a good one. Get specific, do not be vague. Mention something specific about the teleseminar that stuck out in your mind. This is a way for you to get exposure, because that testimonial will include your website address, title, and name.

5. Many hosts of teleseminars will offers you the ability to become an affiliate or part of their resale program. This is generally a great idea for you because you are in a good position. You just went through the seminar, you wrote a great review, now all at that is left is you to let other people know about it. The testimonial that you wrote could be a great starting point for your own sales copy.

Essentially, teleseminars are just another step in learning how to market and do a good job at it.
