This is Chris Stigson speaking. I’m a blogger who has spent many, many hours figuring out “blogging”. I’ve partially cracked the code and I’m literally sharing some of the basic secrets here with you. I’m doing a test as well as giving some knowledge for you today. Please read on, you’ll benefit.

You’ve probably heard that blogs are profitable means of making money online, and you are right, they are. It’s just that you need to do a few things differently in order to get the most out of your blog and internet marketing strategies for promoting it and to finally increase top search engine rankings.

If you want a traffic pulling blog you need more than just search engine rankings. See, there are tons of free traffic that can come from RSS syndication, bookmarking, social bookmarking and more. It’s SO, SO easy when you DO it. If you use tools like RSS submit your site can spread like wildfire across the net, and fast. You also want to “deep link” your blog posts. This means having more “page rank” and incoming links being passed to multiple PAGES on your SITE.

You should always “sub-niche” your internet marketing blog. Doing “traffic”, or “articles”, or maybe “eBay marketing” is a good way to “sub-niche” your sites. It’s not at all difficult to sub-niche and it’s far more profitable since you WON’T be burried hundreds of miles down in the 46th page of Google!

When you have got a niche within the “internet marketing niche” it’s easy to start generate some income. See, most people are targeting “make money” and “how to make money” and “make money online”, but this is NOT what you want to do. Instead head over to keyword research tools and find long tail keywords in the internet marketing niche.

Simple example could be “traffic generation”. That’s our “IM sub-niche”. Great. Let’s go do some keyword research before we get carried away. Let’s say we type in “traffic” and it spits out “increase search engine traffic” as a viable keyword. Then head over to Google and type it in. Now head over to Yahoo and use “link:http://www.yourcompetition.com” to see the backlink count for your competition. If it’s below 1,000, go for it! There’s our sub-niche-long-tail-keyword. Yippie, let’s get going!

Register a domain called “http://www.increase-search-engine-traffic.com” or something like that. If you want a short catchy domain name, go for that, but try having “traffic” in your domain name… seriously, this will help a lot.

It’s time to pump out massive amounts of content about your keyword. In this case we used “increase search engine traffic”, so let’s write about it in your blog! Sounds smart and simple? Well, it is… It’s also smart to collect another 10-20 or even 50 NEW keywords and create articles about these as well. Start posting them to various article directories like ezinearticles or goarticles for maximum exposure.
