Fall Is the Perfect Time to Clean
You’ve all heard the term “spring clean” and I am convinced that the only reason we say it is because it rhymes. Why would anyone want to clean up their yard in the spring? That’s when everything is starting to grow again and fill in all of the bare spots.
It makes much more since to get out in the yard in the fall when the leaves are falling off or gone all together and start cleaning the yard up and getting it ready for spring. This way most everything is done all the way through the holidays and you are ahead of the game once winter is over.
If you take this time to also clean out and organize you utility shed or garage you’ll have some much needed space to store anything that comes up over the holidays. You will have to get all the decorations out anyway so you might as well get them ready to come out and all the other stuff ready to go back in.
The most frustrating thing that normally happens when you clean is the lack of enough space. Most of us are packrats of sorts and will either need an outdoor storage shed that we can place in our yard or rent a secured storage spot from a local facility.
It’s the time of year when the weather is enjoyable and tolerable. It’s also a great project to get your entire family involved. Get everyone off the computers and away from the TV and teach your kids to work with you. Who knows, you may learn something new about them by working with them.
Of course, you may want to get as far away from your family as possible and this could be just the project to do it. There is peace found in silence and good work. At least that’s what I’ve been told. Either way, it will be finished.
