It seems that there are over a million work at home opportunities out there these days. Entire magazines offer pages and pages of home based business ideas, and ways to make money while being your own boss. After all, there are so many pros to working at home, that it makes it attractive to just about anyone. The normal work at home ad normally capitializes on these pros, like no traffic, no hassles, you don’t have to spend as much money on gas, clothes etc etc. While all of this is true, sometimes what they forget to mention in these ads are some of the cons of working at home. This is where you need to sink your teeth into some unbiased, candid reviews of work at home opportunities before you take the leap into one of your own.

A common con of working at home is having questions, and no one being there to answer them. At least in a \”typical\” working enviornment, you know you have a resource or two to gleen from when you aren’t sure how to complete a project. Human beings, are by nature, like water. We will take the path of least resistance, and the truth is, when we don’t know how to do something, we will put off learning how to do it. Ending in us getting nothing done, and having nothing to show for it at the end of the day.

The normal work day of a person in an office is very structured. From the simple, easy tasks to the long boring ones, there is always something for a person to do. Not only are there things to do, a manager can always give you something else (like a stern aget back to worka) to accomplish. It becomes much easier to get the day over with and finished, and abring home the bacon.a Maybe these reviews should be checked, just to make sure that people actually make enough money to not bring home grocery store samples of bacon.

This is not to say that working at home can’t be an excellent, viable and lucrative opportunity for those that can handle it. There are a plethora of positives that one can wrap up in like a warm blanket on a winter day. For example, when you’re working at home you don’t have a nagging boss, you aren’t spending half of your paycheck on gas, parking, nice clothes. You’re alone, in your ‘fortress of solitude’, away from the world, and able to get work done. You can concentrate and your life is your own. Everyone works better when they’re alone, right?

All by yourself? It sounds great, at first. Many reviewers of home based opportunities long for and miss the camaraderie they felt in an atypical work environment. They can sometimes feel isolated and alone, and feel like the walls are crashing in on them, and that they have no social life, and no one to talk to. Certain reviews will even stipulate this leading them into depression. While for others, this quiet lifestyle can be a god send, make sure you weigh in on your scale on this topic especially, and find out what type of support your opportunity provides on a social level, as well as an economic one.

Working from home is great, providing that you’re working. One of the complaints about those new to the work at home or telecommuting industry is that they will often times find a million other things to do to substitute what they should be doing. They will get to work after they fold that laundry, or they’ll go to work after this episode of Oprah. This is the fastest way to get from the gravy train to the soup kitchen! However, there are many individuals who found ways to overcome this, and reading reviews prior to undertaking a new opportunity can arm you to be successful in combating common distractions.

Without thoroughly researching opportunities, and honest reactions to them (not just what is posted on that opportunities website) you have a completely full toolbox of knowing how to spot a work at home scam, MLM or pyramid scheme from a mile away. It gives you the ability to differentiate from the opportunities that take your money rather than make your money. Research into these areas is key to your success!

Everyone in life wants to be successful, and so many adults are convinced that giving up the daily grind and going into business for themselves is the answer they’ve been desperately searching for, and it is, but only if you take the time, to read reviews, be honest with yourself and do your homework about working at home!
