After four years of surgeries, I decided to return to the work force. I wanted to find a job doing work at home. I was afraid of finding scams, and did not want to be involved with a site that would scam me out of my money.

One morning while checking my mail on the Internet I opened a site from one of America’s top TV programs and I opened it up and started reading and it opened up a whole new world for me. This site showed me where I could go on the Internet to get FREE information about work from home. I was awed because I had been searching for legitimate work at home for some time now.

I then became a member of the forum. The site had so much information about other work at home jobs and sites, and other useful, everyday information. You could even start your own questions and ask that members give their best opinion.

I wasn’t to sure of what I could actually do from home since my past work experience consisted of mainly customer service. I wasn’t even sure of what kind of pay to except or ask for because working from home has many advantages and I knew the pay would be somewhat of a lesser pay.

I was extremely surprised when I applied at some of the sites because the pay where I had applied was at least minimum wage. Now I had been thinking because it was work from home it would have been somewhat less, but here you got at least this amount.

I decided that phone work was not for me as I had four grandchildren living with me. My house would never be quiet enough for me to work on a phone. I read a lot of information and applied to a company that required no phone work. I got an e-mail stating I could begin that day. The pay was kind of low, and I’d heard the new owners cut the pay by half. I accepted the job and am being payed .50 for about 1000 keystrokes, which I had expected. The pay isn’t marvelous, but many others applied for this job with the company and didn’t get it, so I feel lucky.

If you have a degree or other certification, many companies will pay you a lot better. I’ve seen some companies that will pay an hourly rate of $12-$14/hour, which is very good for work at home jobs. Most companies pay you for the work you do, but it varies.

So I think the working at home industry has many advantages and pluses. You can probably make just as much working at home as any other regular job. Pay is based upon your work experience and computer skills, or other training, or degrees. With many jobs available to those looking for work at home positions, I’m sure the pay you are looking for is available, for they type of work you will most likely be doing, even minimum wage is a reasonable amount of pay for the particular job.
