I want you to take a moment and think to yourself. Can I count on one hand how many times I’ve tried to get into shape? To loose weight? Well like the majority of American citizens today, you can probably count to higher than five, as you like everyone else, have failed. These people all become discouraged and will never reach their goals.

There are dozens of reason that people fail in there attempts to loose weight, but one of the most commonly blamed reasons for failure, a lack of determination, is actually not one of the main reasons for their failure. Just because you desire to succeed, doesn’t mean that you will. Some people may simply need to get some determination, but these people have an advantage over most of the rest of us. They are informed. Most people have the complete wrong idea about weight loss, that they can do only simple things like sit ups and push ups and they will get amazing results.

The fact is that if you only do these things, you are setting yourself up for failure and possibly injury! If you do these exercises exclusively, you will certainly accomplish something, but not what you set out to do. You need to balance everything; otherwise it will take forever to see results.

Here are some tips on how you will actually see results

1. Low fat foods are definitely your friend. Stay away from the fried types.

2. Drinking lots of water everyday, at least 64 ounces or 8 cups

3. Exercise regularly

4. While exercising, focus on cardio routines, anything that gets your heart moving and stay moving is good

5. Get plenty of sleep

I completely agree with you when you say that these things are obvious and common sense. Everyone should know to do these things, right? Well the truth is that very people know these tips and their effectiveness is often underestimated!
